Arlene Abend graduated the Cooper Union, NYC, on full scholarship; Graduated Syracuse University, NY; plus additional technical study. Has given numerous lectures and demonstrations. Has membership in the International Sculptural Society and other organizations. Published in “Women Artists in America II” and other publications. Television subject in documentary “Portraits”. Various reviews and television appearances.

Work is in the collections of: Ebasco Services, Former World Trade Center,NYC, NYNEX Corp,NYC, Merck Corp,NJ, The Pyramid Companies,NY, The Pioneer Group,NY, and many other professional and private collections.

Work has been exhibited in: The Everson Museum, Rochester Memorial Art Gallery, Rhoada Sands Gallery,NYC, and many others.

Honors include: “Women of Achievement in Art” “Most Promising Career Women” “Trailblazer in the Arts” as well as being recognized by various awards, honorable mentions and prizes.

Most recently the subject of the documentary “Stretching Boundaries, The Life Work of Sculptor Arlene Abend” produced by Daylight Blue Media in 2010
